Nayanthara is keeping a low profile for the last few months by her studious silence and is avoiding public appearances.
She was unavailable for any quote after the sensational news about Prabhu Deva’s mutual divorce with wife Ramlath at Chennai family court came through.
Remember that Nayan labelled as the tabloid queen of south, was fodder for the media for her relationship with noted dancing sensation, actor and director Prabhu Deva.
Last Sunday, Nayan made a quiet entry at the Asianet film awards in Kochi where she bagged the Best Actress for her performance in Malayalam film Body Guard (being remade in Tamil as Kaavalan).
At the venue, she bumped into Amitabh Bachchan and Vijay who was the guest of honour. Top Malayalam stars Mammootty, Mohanlal and Dileep were the other stars present.
However, the actress kept to herself and did not make an attempt to go up to her colleagues in the industry and exchange pleasantries.
Looking dignified in an Anarkali suit, she quietly came, received her award from Ilayathalapathy Vijay, smiled for the cameras and quietly vanished into the dark.
